SOC 2 Type 2 Achieved

By
Alistair Heys

We are excited to announce that Scalr has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification, a widely recognized and respected standard for information security compliance. This certification is a testament to Scalr's commitment to maintaining the highest levels of security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy for our customers.

SOC 2 Type 2 certification requires an independent auditor to assess and verify that Scalr's security controls are designed and operating effectively over a specified period of time. The certification process is rigorous and comprehensive, covering everything from access controls and network security to incident management and data backup.

By achieving SOC 2 Type 2 certification, Scalr has demonstrated our ability to meet the security needs of our customers in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, and government. We are committed to providing a secure and compliant platform that meets the needs of our customers in any industry.

We believe that our SOC 2 Type 2 certification is just one of the many ways we can help our customers build and operate secure and compliant cloud infrastructure. We are proud of this achievement and will continue to work hard to maintain the high standards of security and compliance that our customers expect from Scalr.

Note: While this blog references Terraform, everything mentioned in here also applies to OpenTofu. New to OpenTofu? It is a fork of Terraform 1.5.7 as a result of the license change from MPL to BUSL by HashiCorp. OpenTofu is an open-source alternative to Terraform that is governed by the Linux Foundation. All features available in Terraform 1.5.7 or earlier are also available in OpenTofu. Find out the history of OpenTofu here.
