Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the Scalr platform and all related services (collectively, the “Service”). This AUP supplements the Terms and Conditions and applies to all users, accounts, and organizations accessing the Service.By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Scalr reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user or account that violates this policy.
Prohibited Use
You may not use the Service to engage in, facilitate, or promote any of the following:
- •Illegal or fraudulent activities, including the use of stolen data, identity fraud, or money laundering
- •Unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems belonging to other users or to Scalr
- •Sharing or exposing account credentials, API tokens, or authentication keys to unauthorized parties
- •Vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or security testing of Scalr systems without prior written authorization
- •Activities that consume excessive resources or degrade the performance or availability of the Service for other users
- •Cryptocurrency mining or other workloads unrelated to the intended purpose of the Service
- •Distribution of malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems
- •Circumventing or attempting to bypass security controls, access restrictions, or governance policies configured by your organization’s administrators
- •Reverse-engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code of the Service
- •Scraping, crawling, or bulk-extracting data from the Service beyond what is necessary for legitimate use
- •Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity
- •Harassment, abuse, threats, or promotion of violence against any individual or group
- •Infringing on the intellectual property rights of others
- •Violating applicable export control laws, trade sanctions, or other regulatory requirements
- •Any other activity that violates applicable law or the rights of others
Investigation and Enforcement
Scalr may investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. If a violation is confirmed, Scalr may take the following actions:
1. Notification — Notify the account owner and provide a reasonable opportunity to cure the violation.2. Suspension — Temporarily suspend the affected account or resources if the violation is not cured or poses an immediate risk to the Service or other users.3. Termination — Terminate the account for repeated or severe violations in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
Scalr reserves the right to take immediate action without prior notice if required to protect the Service, its users, or comply with legal obligations.Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it through the Scalr Support Center. For security vulnerabilities, please refer to our responsible disclosure process described in the System Description.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated by Scalr without notice and will be made available on the Scalr website. As a user of the Service, it is your responsibility to review this policy from time to time for any changes as it creates a binding legal agreement between you and Scalr. Users of the Service and visitors to the Scalr website agree to the latest version of this policy.Scalr reserves the right to review and monitor use of the Service to protect the availability and health of the platform.
